Passport to Chicago


On Wednesday, April 4, 2018, Chicago’s legal and culinary communities will come together for the 5th Annual Passport to Chicago in support of the Chicago Bar Foundation.

Guests will enjoy dishes representing different Chicago neighborhoods, conceived and prepared by members of the Kendall College Competition Club. The event will also feature an appealing selection of local beers, regional wines and hometown spirits. Guests will vote for their favorite dish and crown the evening’s top chef.

Free Seminar on Hate Crime in Illinois coming to Chicago on October 18th

Don’t miss the free seminar presented by the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Kirkland & Ellis, LLP – Fighting Hate Crime in Illinois: An Overview of Criminal and Civil Remedies and Protections.

We wanted to let anyone in the Chicago area know about this free, two-hour seminar on October 18th.  The focus will be on an overview of hate crime, how it is defined, why it happens and statistics as well as federal and state laws surrounding it.  There will be a special presentation on the Illinois Hate Crime Act and civil remedies for victims.

Public Interest Law Initiative Alumni Reunion Reception

The Public Interest Law Initiative Alumni Reunion Reception is taking place this Wednesday, November 9th from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Chicago French Market.

PILI’s Alumni Network Leadership Council invites Alumni, Board Members and friends of PILI to celebrate the work of nearly 4,000 PILI Alumni. There will be food, drinks, a raffle and wine tasting.
