Our Latest Featured Speaker is Becca Furman!

Our latest Featured Speaker is Becca Furman of Lewis & Llewellyn LLP!

Becca is speaking at our 21st Annual California Superior Court Boot Camp: The Nuts and Bolts, on October 6 and 8, 2026!

This two-part webinar has set the standard in litigation training in CA for more than two decades and walks through most every phase of a case, from the first pleading through pre-trial motions, with insight from judges and attorneys on both sides of the aisle. Hon. Kira L. Klatchko, Retired, and now in ADR at JAMS, adds her two cents throughout Part 1, and Hon. Laura A. Seigle does the same throughout Part 2.

Becca is co-teaching “Winning and Defending Summary Judgment: Strategy, Persuasive Writing, and Oral Argument” tomorrow, October 8, along with Zachary Flood. It covers timing; strategic considerations; cost considerations; writing persuasive briefs (intro, headers, content, conclusion); mistakes to avoid; what judges want, need and don’t want to see; and oral argument tips.

Becca spoke at our Superior Court Boot Camp in 2022 to rave reviews, and returned in 2024 and 2025 to teach summary judgment. We are thrilled to have her teach it for a third year in a row.

Becca Furman is a skilled litigator who represents major corporations and venture-backed start-ups in complex trade secret and commercial litigation disputes involving cutting edge technology. Becca is known for her aggressive yet pragmatic representation, ability to distill complex legal and technology concepts for a judge and jury, and focus on tailoring her litigation strategy to meet client goals and budget.

Becca represents clients at all stages of litigation, from pre-suit negotiations and injunctive relief through discovery and trial. She regularly serves as lead trial counsel in both state and federal courts. Her representation includes both plaintiff- and defense-side work.

Becca spends most of her time outside of the office marathon training, taking her two kids to Equator for a flat white and croissant, and planning to read the ever-growing stack of books in her office.

Welcome back, Becca! It is always a pleasure to have you on our faculty.
